Sea FaireBack to Top

Sea Faire is a long standing tradition at NAME conferences.  It is a marketplace of ‘ideas’ where individuals, agencies, organizations and vendors can share educational programs, equipment, curricula, and other materials appropriate for marine and aquatic educators, and is intended to allow participants to share free resources and ideas without having to either do a formal presentation or buy a commercial display.  Simply request table space and bring your materials with you to BC.  Sea Faire participants will be able to visit other Sea Faire exhibits during the time allotted.  The only requirement for Sea Faire is that you may not sell materials.  In the past we have had sand exchanges, fossil exchanges, laboratory ideas for the classroom, supplemental materials of interest to marine educators, as well as poster presentations.  You do not have to have something to share in order to attend Sea Faire.  Everyone is welcome, and having a lot of people there facilitates the exchange of ideas.  Clearly the more people who bring materials and ideas to share, the better the event will be.  Please consider bringing something and being an active participant.

Auction Items • Back to Top

The annual NAME auction is one of the highlights of the conference….a chance to have fun, bid on really great items, and raise money for our mini-grant scholarship fund!

Have an auction item to donate? Here are some ideas for great “aquatic” auction items: jewelry; outdoor gear; any and all crafts/artwork; gift certificates for whale watching, fishing trips, bird watching, cabin/hotel/motel accommodations, or guided outdoor trips. There may be treasures in your attic just waiting for the NAME Auction! Solicitation of auction items on behalf of NAME is highly appreciated.
