NAME: Conference 2010 Photo Contest Information

Photo Contest • 2010 Conference Home

This year, NAME will include a photo contest. All those registered for the Oregon conference are eligible to submit up to three, color photos of their own work (includes dark room and electronic alteration). Please drop your photos off at the registration desk when checking into the conference.

Photos will be entered in four categories:

Fresh Water Environments
Ocean and Estuarine Environments
Marine and Aquatic Plants and Animals
People Learning and Experiencing Marine and Aquatic Environments*

Conference attendees will judge the photos by written ballot for a total of five awards:

Best photo in each category above
Best of show

Winners will be announced at the concluding conference session on Saturday.

Photo Contest Rules:

Must be 8 inches x 10 inches in size
Photos will be matted on white
Photographer’s name should be printed on the back of each photo
Photos may be titled; titles will be placed on the lower right-hand corner of the mat

A digital copy of each entered photo will be sent to NAME within 30 days of the conference conclusion. NAME is thereby given permission to use these photos to accomplish its goals. Send photos to Vicki Osis at vjosis@peak.org

*If your photo includes kids learning and exploring in the marine environment a release form with the parents’ signatures is needed to put it up on display, as well as to use it on the NAME website. Please download the release form and bring the completed, signed form with your photo.
