Get to Know Your H2O
August 18, 2016 • 11:00 am – 4:30 pm
Ever wonder how your drinking water is delivered from source to tap? This tour is a great way to find out. Starting at the north end of Sooke Lake Reservoir, we will follow the flow of water through a largely intact watershed that is 98% publicly owned. We will explore the surrounding forests and creeks by bus and on foot, and get to know some of the plants and animals that call this special place home. We will also visit the water supply facilities and learn more about the treatment process that ensures that the water delivered to your tap is the best it can be. CRD Website: https://www.crd.bc.ca/service/public-tours/watershed-tours
Minimum number of participants: 20
Cost: $40 CDN / $32 USD
Note—the cost will cover a bag lunch and transportation to/from Pearson College.
