There are a variety of ways to get to the lovely city of Bandon, OR.

For our NAME members flying into either Portland (PDX) or Eugene (EUG), Alaska Airlines is offering a 5% discount to our members.  The code is valid on flights booked between July 10th to July 20th, 2014, including those days.  When searching for flights on alaskaair.com, input the discount code ECMV080, and it will be applied to your purchase as long as your arrival and departure times are within the July 10th–20th window.  This discount is available for anyone flying in from Washington, Canada, or Alaska.

Once you have arrived at the airport, there are a few ways to get to Bandon itself.  Both the Portland and Eugene airports have rental car services available, if that is what you would like to do.  We have set up a carpooling page for you to coordinate with other members flying in at the same time as you, or with members who are going to drive themselves and will be passing through the Portland or Eugene area when your flight arrives.  There are also a number of taxi services in Oregon offering transportation to Bandon.  Below is a list of taxis and the prices to go one way to Bandon, beginning from either Eugene or Portland.  The same rates apply for the reverse trip.

We highly suggest, if you are flying into Portland and planning to take a taxi of some kind to Bandon, that you first take the HUT shuttle from Portland to Eugene.  A one-way trip on the HUT shuttle is $59, $55 for students, and you can then hire a taxi to get from Eugene to Bandon.  This could also be a cost-effective way to meet up with carpool groups in Eugene.  For more information on the HUT shuttle and how to reserve a seat, please visit www.hutshuttle.com.  Advance booking is recommended but not required.
